Job Description Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the branding, marketing, and communication strategies of the hotel, ensuring that all activities align with the brand positioning. He/she develops a complete marketing plan and budget every year/quarter. This role involves managing all marketing efforts, creating compelling content, overseeing digital platforms, and driving engagement through digital advertising and social media strategies. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating with different departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Identity and Positioning:
- Ensure the hotel’s brand image and messaging are consistent across all areas.
- Apply brand guidelines to signage, guest materials, and digital content.
- Build partnerships with businesses and individuals that align with the hotel’s values.
- Plan and organize brand-related events and collaborations with designers, influencers, and lifestyle brands.
- Conduct market research to keep the hotel competitive in Brussels.
2. Marketing Materials and Promotions:
- Create and manage marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, menus, and online content.
- Make sure all promotional materials reflect the hotel's style and message.
- Maintain and update the hotel’s website, ensuring it is visually appealing and easy to find online.
- Manage online travel agency (OTA) listings, keeping descriptions and images accurate and attractive.
- Develop and update digital and physical signage in the hotel.
- Work with graphic designers and photographers to create high-quality visuals.
3. Online Advertising and Digital Presence:
- Plan and run paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, as well as search engines like Google.
- Improve online advertising performance to get the best possible return on investment.
- Ensure the hotel, restaurant, and spa are well-represented on third-party websites.
- Track and analyze advertising results and adjust strategies when needed.
- Develop email marketing campaigns to connect with past and potential guests.
4. Public Relations and Social Media:
- Work with the hotel’s press agency to develop strategies and gain media coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
- Oversee the hotel’s social media presence, ensuring engaging and relevant content.
- Respond to guest comments and messages on social media in a timely manner.
- Organize press events, influencer visits, and media partnerships.
5. Events and Promotions:
- Support the Sales and Food and Beverage teams in promoting hotel events and special offers.
- Develop creative event ideas to attract guests, increase revenue, and strengthen brand awareness.
- Organize photo and video shoots for marketing materials and online platforms.
- Ensure that marketing efforts are communicated effectively across all departments.
What we are looking for
1. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Experience using Canva for quick design projects.
- Knowledge of online advertising, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok ads.
- Experience with search engine marketing and Google ads.
- Understanding of website optimization and content management platforms.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and email marketing tools.
- Ability to analyze marketing performance using tracking tools like Google Analytics.
2. Personal Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
- Creativity and the ability to develop engaging content.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with media, influencers, and industry professionals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work closely with different teams within and outside the hotel.
- Experience supervising interns.
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to industry trends.
3. Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury industries.
- Proven experience in successful marketing campaigns and brand-related events.
- Experience working with external agencies, designers, and public relations teams.
- Fluent in English and French (Dutch is an advantage).
- Available as from June 2025 (can be discussed)
